Hi! I'm Catie, an emerging book publishing professional currently based in New York and Massachusetts.

My adoration for the written word has been my guiding light for my entire life, the earliest evidence of which is a story, written at 8 years old & entirely in green Crayola marker, about a little boy with the hiccups. I quickly became a voracious reader, and eventually found myself hopelessly obsessed with storytelling, even in the windowless room of my math & science high school's journalism classroom.

My passion led me to Syracuse University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in magazine, news, and digital journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing, graduating magna cum laude in May 2026. Today, I believe that every story worth telling ends up in a book one day—or at least, they all should. My goal, put simply, is to help make that happen, and to get those stories into the hands of the people who need to hear them the most.

My path was solidified by my participation in Simon & Schuster's 2026 Publishing Prologue, a week spent learning from publishing professionals of all kinds. Now, as an intern at Wendy Sherman Associates Literary Management, I spend my days evaluating book proposals, editing pitches, writing reader reports, and researching author candidates. I am always open to opportunities that allow me to continue learning about the field and help bring stories to life.
